History: This is the first Ottawa-Gatineau Underscore. We are looking to put the National Capital Region in the Global Underscore Map. We look forward to studying and practicing Nancy Starks Smith underscore principle. Come to support our first Global Underscore, create a baseline event and grow the Underscore practice in our area. Ottawa-Gatineau contact improvisation dancers have been traveling to nearby cities to join the Global Underscore for a long time. This year, we want to shift gears and saw the seed of our first Global Underscore in our own area. We love the welcoming embrace of nearby dance communities, THANK YOU!! MERCI!!!, but it is our turn to set a baseline and grow the Global Underscore practice in Ottawa and Gatineau.

History: I’ve been hosting an Underscore practice monthly for the last 2 years, so we have a consistent underscore community that shows up, as well as an ongoing west side jam for 33 years. This will be our second official global underscore (last year we also had a registered site.)
