GLOBAL UNDERSCORE 2024 Events

The GLOBAL UNDERSCORE (GUS) centers on a yearly dance event, the Global Underscore practice, in which the Underscore is practiced simultaneously for a 4-hour period by people all over the world near the June solstice.

GUS hosts the following events:

• In-Depth Talk-Through: 15 June 2024, 12:00–14:30 UTC (8:00–10:30 am EDT New York) on Zoom
• GLOBAL UNDERSCORE Practice (main event): 22 June 2024, 14:00–18:00 UTC (10:00 am–2:00 pm EDT New York)
  • “Catch-All” Zoom — an online site for individuals & GUS sites around the world during the GUS Practice
• Meta-Sharing: 29 June 2024, 12:00–14:00 UTC (8:00–10:00 am EDT New York) on Zoom

GLOBAL IN-DEPTH TALK-THROUGH

In preparation for the GUS 2024 practice, an In-Depth Talk-Through of the Underscore phases, connections, and aspects will be given — by many experienced facilitators from around the world. There will be multiple viewpoints, different languages, discussion, and some movement time to embody the principles. This year, Bruno Garrote (Brasil) will co-host with the GUS Coordinators. GLOBAL META-SHARING

Dancers from across the globe will be sharing their Harvest (reflections, moments, insights, feelings, images, ideas, movements, drawings, writings, photos, videos etc.) from the Global Underscore practice (22 June 2024). We will also telescope out to overall Underscore interests, ideas, and directions that are happening in different communities around the world.  Contributions in many languages and different modalities are encouraged. If you have a video, please let us know in advance (it must be short). This is a recorded event.
